Welcome to Cobh
Cobh is perfect as a small town henparty destination but has yet to be discovered.
Cobh has all the key elements needed for a henparty - accommodation, pubs, restaurants, activities and nightclubs.
Cobh is situated on the Cork coast and is a beautiful old garrison town.
The Titanic made its last port of call at Cobh and there is a fantastic heritage centre worth visiting there, dedicated to the Titanic and its victims.
Cobh is home to one of the most famous Psychic Mediums in Ireland!
Why Cobh
Cork is really easy to get to. There is a regular train service from Cork City, so for those that can take the train to Cork it is very easy to continue onto Cobh.
Fota Wildlife Park is nearby and while it may sound like an outing for kids, it's the grown ups that have more fun at Fota.......giraffes, monkeys, penguins all in a safari style setting. The animals here have plenty of room to wander about, what better way to spend a hungover afternoon than playing "spot the penguin (insert favourite exotic animal)".
If shopping is a key part of your henparty then Cobh is not for you!
The Cobh Regatta is held the second weekend of August every year and is great craic. Held over 3 days and always ends with fireworks - there is music in the pubs and boats on the dock....
Visit the Cobh Heritage Centre - learn about the Titanic.
For all you nerds, Cobh (formerly Queenstown) was the departure point for 2.5 Million of the 6 Million Irish People who emigrated to the USA between 1848 and 1950.
Accommodation is central in Cobh and most within short walking distance of town. There are a few hotels and several guest houses to chose from.
The restaurants in Cobh are extremely hen friendly and delighted with the business. The choice is good for a town its size.
Pub wise, like most Irish towns there are plenty to chose from! There is always great craic in Cobh at the weekend and plenty of music and dancing.
Cobh loves henparties and you can often be guaranteed to be the only hen in town.
Activity wise there is plenty to chose from - trips around the harbour, walking tours, organised pub crawls, spa treatments and more.
