Waterford is big enough that there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to chose from, but small enough that you won't feel like you are lost in a huge city.
      
Waterford is good for a henparty location wise. If you have a mix of people coming from Cork, Limerick, Dublin or Tipperary then Waterford is a good meeting point for all these areas.

Waterford is extremely hen friendly town and legions with bunny ears are often seen in pubs and clubs. Waterford is big enough to provide most activities such as watersports, horse riding, paintball, boat trips, picnic lunches.
      
For the outdoorsy types you could go for a walk up the Comeragh mountains as they are pretty impressive with huge lakes at the top. Visit Dunmore East, only 20 minutes drive away and chill out in some cool pubs by the sea or be more adventurous go sailing, kayaking or any other watersport you care to think of.

Visit Tramore, only 15 minutes from Waterford, go swimming, learn how to surf, go on the amusements.

If you want to do something really different why not take a trip on an old train at Kilmeaden, again only 15 minutes drive from the City, it operates april to end of september.

The majority of nightclubs in Waterford are located within a two minute walk of each other. So if you don’t like the one you are in, you can just cross the road and try another. All tastes catered for.
      
Likewise with the restaurants and pubs. All are within walking distance of each other, but you don’t feel as if you are in a small town.
      
Accommodation in Waterford city centre isn't too expensive if you shop around and there are plenty of hotels to chose from.
      
There are a huge number of pubs in Waterford. There are pubs that sell cocktails, there are pubs that play trad music (especially in Ballybricken, the old heart of the city), there are dancey pubs and there are crusty pubs. Of course there are also main stream pubs. And again, yes we know you know, they are all within walking distance of each other.
      
Restaurants in Waterford are really good. You won't pay the high prices of Dublin or Cork but you will get really good food in Italian and French and even a new Vietnmese place (Send us an e-mail on the sly and we'll send you names).
