Sligo town has a population is around 18,000 which makes it the perfect size for a henparty.

Sligo until now has been relatively unexplored, however as a destination it has literally every thing to offer for your henparty.
The public transport to Sligo from all around the country is excellent, so if you aren’t keen on driving it’s a great choice. There’s even an airport!

As a town to walk around there are plenty of lovely little cafes to stop into for a coffee. Sligo also has plenty of shopping with a new river walk, pretty boutiques and all the high street stores.
There are several blue flag beaches around Sligo town, many no more than 10 minutes away for example Rosses Point Beach, Strandhill Beach (great for surfing but not safe for swimming) and Enniscrone Beach.
If you are wondering what sort of activities to choose from in Sligo – well quite frankly- you will be spoiled for choice. Horse riding, deep sea fishing, cycling, clay pigeon shooting, hill walking are but to name a few of the outdoor choice.
Be adventurous - climb Knocknarea approximately 4 miles from Sligo, it takes approximately 40-45 minutes so it won't kill you. When you reach the summit you will be rewarded with outstanding views and also check out Queen Maeve's Cairn (a mound of stones indicating a tomb) which is approximately 8 metres high.
For the golfers there are plenty of interesting links courses nearby - plenty of sand and wind !!!

Spas, salons and all the pamper treatments are all also available in Sligo for the ladies that like to be spoiled.
Nightlife in Sligo has a fantastic reputation. Bars, late bars, nightclubs and all hen friendly.
The only problem with Sligo is that you are nearly guaranteed to meet another henparty – but if this doesn’t bother you then it wont be a problem.
