The transformation in Derry over the last twenty years has been phenomenal with the building of the peace bridge, the regeneration of the city centre and the influx of tourists and government money.
Derry has got to be on the short list for those that want a small city experience in a big city. While the city itself sprawls out along the river, the beating heart in still in between the old city walls.
For Hens looking for a lash of culture before dancing their socks off in the local music venues, then a walk or tour of the historic city walls is a must. A visit to the Guildhall will further educate those who feel the need for that as would a tour of the Bogside and “Free Derry”.

For those who get their kicks from retail therapy then you’ve hit the jackpot with three modern massive shopping centres in and around the ship quay Street area; add to that there are numerous boutiques and artisan shops to keep you focused all day.
Nightlife
The streets are beautifully kept and spotless. Pubs, pubs, and more pubs. No one will suffer from dehydration in Derry.
On to the serious business of food and nightlife; again all the stars are in a line and it's Jackpot time. Take your pick and move on. Hotels are plentiful as are B&B’s so choosing something suitable and dossing down after a hard day’s slog won’t put pressure on the brain.
