On the way to the hen-party why not surprise the hen with a champagne stop off.

If you want to blow the budget get a couple of bottles of Veuve Cliquot or Moet, but a bottle of sparkling pear cider for €4.99 can achieve the very same effect.

If you are travelling by mini-bus ask the driver to pull over at a nice picnic area and get everyone out of the bus. If you are travelling by car ask everyone to meet at a spot along the way. Pass around plastic cups or plastic champagne flutes and after popping the cork propose a toast to the bride. It’s a gesture that doesn’t have to cost much but can start the day off on a special note.
