5 Unique Hen Party Activities

So, you’ve been asked to be the maid of honour for one of your best friends/sister. One of the first tasks that come to mind is planning the hen party. There are various things that will make or break the hen party, where you go, who you invite and of course what activity you choose. When planning a hen party it is absolutely crucial to keep the bride to be's desire’s in mind at ALL times. It is her big send-off after all! If the bride-to-be loves a bit of adventure, then why not choose an activity that reflects this, if she loves art, how about a Paint a Nude class! Most future brides want something a little different for their hen party to make it really stand out from the crowd, so here’s where the unique hen party activities come into play!

Gin Tea Party
A Gin Tea Party is an amazingly perfect twist on the classic tea party. Gin is the tipple of choice for so many lovely ladies out there so why not make the consumption of it on the hen party of your activity! Whether the bride-to-be likes her gin served up straight, with ginger and line or a dash of elderflower this activity is so perfect her. Jail Break
If the bride-to-be fancies herself as a bit of an Andy Dufresne (Shawshank ladies) she’ll LOVE Jail Break. This is a completely unique activity, guaranteed that most of the girls will never have tried anything like it before! Jail Break involves trying to crack clues and answer questions in order to escape from jail. Held in Cork Gaol, an old prison in Cork, Jail Break is an adrenaline fuelling experience the bride to be is sure to love.


I’m a Hen Get Me Outta Here
With the I’m a Celebrity 16 series just after finishing, everyone seems to be in that Jungle Survivor mode! So why not try the I’m a Hen Get Me Outta Here activity in Dunmore East with Dunmore Adventure! Not only is Dunmore East one of the many hidden treasures of this lovely island of ours it is also the home of this brilliant activity! I’m a Hen Get Me Outta Here involves collecting stars in a cave and taking part in bush tucker challenges. You and the group will also get to try your hand at archery! This is an activity with a difference that an adventurous bride to be will love. You can also tie in a jungle theme to the hen party, think Destiny’s Child in their survivor video!

Old School Sports Day
Bring back the good old days with an Old School Sports Day for your hen party. Think sack races, egg and spoon race, three-legged race, hula hooping and more. Especially if the hen party all went to school together this will bring back a few memories! Add in a few spot prizes like prosecco or champagne as a little incentive for the girls. Astropark in Dublin is top class at organising this kind of event. The nostalgic bride to be will love it…

Firefighter Experience
The firefighter experience is one of our favourite unique activities for a hen party. If you have an energetic bride to be on your hand, guaranteed she’ll love this. You’ll get a spin on a fire engine and everything! The Firefighter Experience is available in cork with Fire Rescue and Training Specialists.

Going for a unique hen party activity can really set the tone for the rest of the hen party and have all the girls talking for years to come. Just make sure that when you are choosing the activity that you choose to the bride’s taste and not your own!
