The Sky Bar of the Year awards has recognised the excellent bars, knowledge of staff, high-quality service, and innovation in the bar trade for 10 years. From long-established traditional local pubs to up and coming new arrivals, the Sky Bar of the Year Awards is the ultimate stamp of approval for the best of the best in the licensing industry. This year the awards celebrated its 10th year of the awards with a gala dinner in the Round Room at the Mansion House Dublin hosted by Newstalk's Tom Dunne.

The Sky Bar of the Year Awards is dedicated to raising the profile of the licensed trade and reminding consumers of the excellent service and quality that exists within the licensed trade.

Empire Swords opened its doors on the 4th of December 2014 and has received this award after 10 months of trading. Empire offers dining from 11 am daily with a menu featuring soups, sandwiches, light bites and a selection of teas and coffees from Illy and dedicated lunch menu. The Grill at Empire Swords serves a superb menu daily from 4 pm with signature dishes such as prime fillet, fresh scallops and salmon. Every Sunday a traditional Sunday Roast is served with all the trimmings.
