Ways of Travelling - Ranked

In Hen Party Planning Tips 18 Dec 2019

There are so many ways to get from A to B when it comes to travelling around and this is no different for a hen party! Whether you decide to travel separately by car or hire a private bus so that everyone arrives together, the ways in which you can travel all have different pros and cons that come with them and it can make choosing the right type of transport really difficult. But it doesn’t have to be a headache because we’re here to help. We’re going to help you decide on which form of transport to use by ranking them on comfort, price, efficiency and the fun you can have on board.

So let’s get into it, ladies! Here are Ways of Travelling - Ranked.

But first, let’s go through the pros and cons of each travelling method.

#5 Car

  • Comfort
You can’t fully relax when driving.
  • Price
Petrol/Diesel can be pretty expensive on long journeys.
  • Fun
Other than a radio and maybe a DJ passenger, there won’t be too much fun.
  • Efficiency
You can arrive in your own time with no rush.

#4 Train
  • Comfort
Sit back and relax as the journey passes by.
  • Price
Can be pretty expensive depending on the location.
  • Fun
Sit in booths of 4 and play some games while you travel.
  • Efficiency
Travelling by train is the quickest way to travel on land.

#3 Public Bus
  • Comfort
Seats can have little legroom or can be broken.
  • Price
Can normally be one of the cheaper ways to travel.
  • Fun
Basically, just sit down and chat with the person next to you.
  • Efficiency
Can often get delayed or experience difficulties.

#2 Private Bus
  • Comfort
Can be really comfortable and pretty spacious.
  • Price
When divided between a large group can be relatively cheap.
  • Fun
A bit more freedom when compared to public bus.
  • Efficiency
Faster than a public bus because there are no stops along the way.

#1 Party Bus
  • Comfort
Really comfortable with lots of space.
  • Price
Good value for larger groups. A bit expensive for smaller groups.
  • Fun
Plenty of fun can be had with some of your favourite music and drinks.
  • Efficiency
A party bus is never late...it arrives precisely when it means to.

So those are the good and bad things for each of the ways of travelling for a hen party. Each of the ways is good for its own reasons but for us, only one way is a clear stand out when it comes to travelling for a hen party. So here are the rankings!

  1. Party Bus
  2. Private Bus
  3. Train
  4. Public Bus
  5. Car

The Party Bus is definitely the most convenient of all the ways of travelling to your hen party and it definitely allows the most fun to be had while you travel. If fun is the most important thing for you then the Party Bus is the clear choice. Not only does it offers lots of fun to be had but it offers lots of space, comfort and is a great price when divided between a large group.

But don’t take our word for it. Try it for your hen party and you can experience the fun of arriving in style for yourself!

We hope these rankings help to make the decision a bit easier on which way of travelling you should choose for your hen party.

We booked with henparty.ie back on 2019 but when Covid hit everything shut down!! We were finally able to go in March 2022 and any deposits and payments made were easily transferred which was great. Headed to Galway and we were booked in the imperial hotel…
