Are you prepping for the Hen party and not sure what to focus on? Well, no need to fret, our top 4 best prep tips for a Hen Party are here! These are the things you should be prepping for now instead of getting ready last minute. Trust us, you don’t want to wake up day of and realise you forgot one of our 4 prep tips.

Our Top Prep Tips

  • Fake tan

To start, your tan! A Hen party is a big deal. I mean just like the wedding you only get it once! So why not get your tan done for the day? This one is important to prep soon as you’ll be able to get an appointment if you are getting a spray. If you are going to do your tan yourself you will need to get your skin ready and exfoliate in advance so you will need to plan that too.

By doing it sooner you can make sure the tan does turn out nicely and you won’t have to find a way to do any last-minute touch ups.

  • Hairs and Nails

Our mantra is, if you are going on a hen, think about getting your hair and nails done! We have been wearing tracksuits and cosy pants for the last 15 months and so now is the time to glam. Why don't you think about booking yourself in for a blow dry and your make up the day of the hen and get back in the glam saddle.

Clearly if you are doing any sort of active hen party activity there is no point whatsoever in getting your hair and makeup done!

  • Outfits

One of the most fun parts of a hen party is what to wear. Take some time and start to prep for your outfits. You will need an outfit for travelling on the day. Plus something for the evening. After so long in lounge wear, now is the change to break out all your nice outfits. Maybe you have that one you bought before lockdown but never got a chance to wear. Here is your chance! By planning what you will wear in advance it will take away so much of the stress when the time comes for the hen itself. Our advice for the hen party outfits, prep!

  • Gifts

Last but not least, a gifts. Most guests bring a small gift to a hen party these days. As much as the night is going to be memorial in itself, a small gift is also a good keepsake to have from the hen party. Reminds the bride of the night and her squad. Take the time to prep and find a little gift and don't leave it to the last minute. It could take you a bit of time to find the right gift. Then once you find it might need time to ship, and with Brexit shipping can be slow if it is coming in from outside Ireland. So plan ahead!

There you have it! Our Top 4 best prep tips for a Hen Party! A handy tip is to write them out and cross them off as you go along, keeps you focused. Then the only thing you have to worry about is making sure you have a good time.

We booked with henparty.ie back on 2019 but when Covid hit everything shut down!! We were finally able to go in March 2022 and any deposits and payments made were easily transferred which was great. Headed to Galway and we were booked in the imperial hotel…
