Originally built in 1771, Dunowen House is a private country estate in a stunning coastal setting only 10 minutes from vibrant Clonakilty town. Decorated and furnished to 5 Star standards, Dunowen offers you all the comforts of a country house hotel exclusively for your own use. Accommodating up to 23 guests, it’s an intimate venue but with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy their celebrations.
We have compiled a great Little Black Book of local suppliers and activity providers.
How about Clonakilty Chocolate Truffle making with Prosecco or a crafty Flower Crown making class? For the more active, we can arrange horse-riding, sea-kayaking, paddle boarding or surfing lessons.

Luxury Hen Party Weekend
Our luxury Hen Party Package includes:
- Two night self-catering stay, with accommodation for up to 23 guests
- Privately catered 3 course dinner party on one night of your choice, served in our dining room
- A welcome pack on arrival of homemade scones, jam, tea, coffee, milk, butter, toiletries and slippers.
- Check-in from Friday afternoon to check-out Sunday noon.
