Sure we can't talk about Tullamore and no talk about Tullamore Dew. Back in the day, the locals set up the Tullamore Distillery because of the abundance of grain and fresh water from the canal. Tullamore Dew Whiskey put the town on the map and is a “must visit” spot on your mad weekend. They offer Whiskey Wise Master Classes. Great fun and a certificate to boot.
Or for those who like an adrenalin rush with plenty of water sports, Canoeing, Kayaking, skiing, sub aqua diving and canal cruises to mention but a few. Tullamore also has a skate park and during the summer has hot air balloon festivals. Hill walking, horse riding and 10 pin bowling are available in the area.
