Shopping
I bet you didn't know that Kenmare is unreal for shopping. They have the most amazing shops and boutiques. Enjoy a wander through the little streets and find some gorgeous boutiques, soap shops, homemade chocolate shops, book shops and more. And the most amazing jewellery shops. I have the earrings to prove it. Kenmare is a complete shopping nugget and if you like shopping at all you will have a ball.
Foodies
Eating out in Kenmare is always a special experience. Award winning restaurants serving the best of locally produced foods. The quaint cafes are in a league of their own bursting with delicious homemade treats. One of our favourites is a little French place at the top of the town, Maison Gourmet. Their croque monsieur is amazing.
There are great pubs serving some of Irelands best craft beers. There are ordinary pubs, gastro pubs, music pubs, renovated pubs and trad pubs. Plenty of pubs! Which means plenty of fun. Plus there are always lots of tourists in Kenmare which gives it a lovely international buzz.
Location
Kenmare is a great option for groups from Cork or the South. The roads are pretty good until Killarney and not the worst for the rest of the trip. It's easy to get to which also makes it popular.
