The 'This is Your Life' idea is basically a home-made version of the television show using a book to describe the Hens life to date.
Prepare the book in advance and read key points from it at the meal.
- Take a scrapbook and using some nice red wrapping paper, cover the book and write the words ‘This is Your Life’ on the front.
- Speak to the Hen’s family and old school friends. Collect as many photos and stories as you can and add them to the book.
- Type up the stories, add them to the book and stick in the photos. Remember to include key milestones, places and people.
- Continue in this way up until the present day including college, work, birthdays and all the rest.
On the nightstand up and tell the Hen that 'This is her Life'. Select some key milestones in advance and read these out to the table. Pass the book around afterwards for everyone to see the pictures. This is a lovely Nice Idea and though takes a bit of time, it is more than worth the effort required.
