Cocktails for your Autumn Hen

As much as we hate to admit it ladies Summer is well and truly behind us and we are in Autumn. We have to say though this doesn't really make us sad at all. Autumn is one of the best times of the year, you get to wear your fave jumpers again, everywhere is a gorgeous orange colour and of course, Halloween is only just around the corner! Some people think cocktails are more of a summer thing but believe us they work amazingly for Autumn too! Why not incorporate some of these delicious Cocktails for your Autumn Hen!

Apples are a big feature in Autumn Cocktails ladies. This Hard Apple Cider Sangria is the perfect combination of Autumn and wine in a glass! (Serves 4)

What You'll Need;

1 Cup of finely sliced red and green apples

1 Orange thinly sliced

Handful of fresh or frozen raspberries

1 Peach thinly sliced

1 Cup of Apple Juice

Quarter Cup of Fresh Orange Juice

Quarter Cup of Apple Brandy (Regular Brandy works well too)

650ml of Apple Cider Vinegar

Ice Cubes

Fresh Mint

How to Make It;

Thinly slice all the fruit

Add the apples, orange, peach, berries, juices and brandy to a pitcher and leave in the fridge for a few hours (the longer you can leave it the better, min 3 hours)

Add the apple cider just before serving

Serve the drink over ice cubes and add the mint for decoration

Yes, our mouth is watering too! Pumpkins, booze and chocolate in one drink. This is pretty much Autumn in a mug and with the booze it makes it perfect for the hen party too!

What You'll Need;

2.5 cups of milk

Half a cup of white chocolate (chips or chopped finely)

A quarter cup of pumpkin puree

A quarter teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice

A half ounce of bourbon

Whipped Cream

Caramel Sauce

How to Make It;

Melt the white chocolate into half a cup of milk over a low heat stirring constantly

Once melted add the rest of the milk, the pumpkin puree and the spice, stirring until all blended evenly

Pour a small amount of the mix into your serving glass and add the bourbon. Add the rest of the mix and stir. Top off with whipped cream and carmel to taste.

You may think that a Bellini is a classic summer drink ladies but when paired with the right fruit it is perfect for an Autumn hen! (Serves 6)

What You'll Need;

3 apples, cut into wedges and cored

1-2 tablespoons of water

1 teaspoon of granulated sugar

1 bottle of Prosecco

6 ounces of Apple Bourbon

How to Make It;

Put the apples, water and sugar into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Add a tablespoon of the puree to the champagne flute and add one ounce of the apple bourbon to each glass

Top off with the Prosecco and enjoy!

If you like to use some apple slices to garnish the drink.
