Why Belfast?
Warm Welcome
The Dubliners summed up Belfast pretty well in the first four lines of the song, “The black velvet band”
“In a neat little town they call Belfast,
Apprentice to trade I was bound,
And many an hour’s sweet happiness
Have I spent in this neat little town?
Now, some might argue that Belfast isn’t a little town and rightly so, but in terms of the beating heart, it is condensed into the very centre of this great city. The place heaves with atmosphere and bursts with hustle and bustle. Restaurants and bars stretch out to grab your attention as you go skipping down Broadway. The city has been rejuvenated over the last 20 years so options for activities, sightseeing and having might craic are too numerous to mention.
Short Journey
If we look at Ireland as a Teddy bear sitting on its arse, well Belfast is on its head next to its ear. Getting there is so simple that you could do it with closed eyes. A mainline train from Dublin, which is connected to the rest of the country, is one option. Going by car? The motorway reaches from the Dublin port tunnel to Belfast city centre. All other cities are connected by motorway as well, so get on your bike, not literally!!!
Got it All
If it’s fun, music, good food and great accommodation that the Hens are after, Well Belfast has all and more in spades.
It’s got to be top of any Hen party “places to go list”
