The people of Galway deserve 100 out of 100 for making their city one of the most popular destinations for hen parties. The City is a bright Jewel, slap bang in the middle of the Wild Atlantic Way. Galway was also the European Capital of culture for 2020 - highlighting what a special place it is.
The City Itself
Galway has everything and is everything. It’s a thriving cosmopolitan city with narrow streets, colourful shop fronts, the amazing Eyre Square, the Spanish Arch, the Claddagh and the rushing river Corrib slicing through the city. Smother all that beauty with music, Craic, history and intrigue and you’ll be half way to understanding what makes Galway a people magnet. The stand out festival is the Galway Races of course. What a way to spend a hen party! Dressed to the nines and sipping champagne watching the rich and famous stroll by. Yes please. The International arts festival is another big one and if you miss those there are stacks of other things to float your boat. Talking of boats, a trip on the Lough Corrib is spectacular and a chance to recharge the batteries. If its shopping that rings your bell, you are in the right place to melt your piece of plastic. Arts and crafts, flair and style, the weird, the outlandish and the stunning are beckoning.
