Hen Party Checklist 3 jpg
Planning a hen party can be a big undertaking. Trying to make sure everyone, especially the bride to be is happy isn't always easy. Fear not though ladies we're always on hand to help you out in any way we can. Sure, we sell amazing hen party packages but that's not all we do. Our hen party expertise doesn't just stop there we're always on hand to offer any advise we can. From games, ideas, accessories and making sure you don't forget a thing we're here to help. So to make sure you don't forget a thing here's a hen party checklist you need to follow!

Guestlist

So you've been asked to be a bridesmaid, one of the first things you should do is get the guestlist from the bride to be. The last thing you want is to have people that she doesn't actually want there or worse you forget someone altogether. This is the only real job the bride to be should have in the planning of the hen party! For everything else, she needs to just sit back, relax and enjoy!

Pick the Weekend

The next two points on our checklist are interchangeable! Try to settle on a date for the hen party. Usually, hen parties are held at least a month before the wedding. This does depend though on the bride and her guest's availability. Make sure you talk to people that are living abroad that you know the bride wants there before everyone else. It's also worth noting if your hen party is during the summer/autumn a bank holiday weekend is always a great time to have it! Be sure to book these early though because these weekends are always the most popular.

Destination and Activities

Like we said this point and the one previous are interchangeable! Most people have a preference of where they want to go and pick the activity from there, other people know what activity they want to do and then pick their location. Whatever your thought process this is one of the most important decisions for the hen party. Deciding whether a city hen, a town/village hen or a hen party abroad is best suited to the bride and the group can be a tough one. Make sure you ask the bride questions like this so you pick the right one. Just remember she shouldn't do a thing! Once you've decided on all this get booking straight away!

Transport

Whether you decide to head down to Cork or choose to head abroad you're going to need some sort of transport to get there. Whether it's a bus, carpool or plane, it's important to make sure this is planned in plenty time of the hen party so that you get the best deal going! You may be surprised but getting there can be as fun as the destination. The party really starts from the second you leave home!

Accessories

Some brides decide that accessories on the hen party just aren't for them, that's completely their choice. We always recommend though that the maid of honour/bridesmaids bring some accessories in case she changes her mind. It's no harm in picking up a few bits and pieces if the bride wants to wear them perfect, if not that's good too. We find that this happens a lot when they are actually on the hen they get so excited and want all the accessories to go with it!

Nice Ideas

We can't stress this point enough, planning a few surprises for the hen party really make it amazing for the bride to be. These can be super simple or really extravagant that's up to you!

Have fun!

The final thing on our checklist is definitely the most important...don't forget to have fun!!
