This week’s query comes in from a woman who would like to remain anonymous. She and the rest of brides friends are considering going abroad for their close friend’s hen party, but at the moment our ‘Jane Doe’ just doesn’t have the funds to go on an extravagant hen do.
“Hi Claire, I’d love if you can keep my name private as I don’t want my friends to know this was me. I’m in the process of planning a hen party for one of my best friends along with a few other girls in our group. They all want to go to Spain for the hen party, only thing is I just can’t afford that right now. I haven’t told any of the girls and I am one of the brides best friends so I have to go on the hen. What do I do? “
First of all, I would advise speaking to the rest of the girls who are organising it. Explain to them how this is just too expensive for you, if you don’t feel comfortable talking to all the girls about it why not speak to the one you are most comfortable with.
Another option would be to do some research of your own on places and packages around Ireland. There are so many fantastic spots to go on a hen party here at home that won’t break the bank! It is a case of whatever you can do in Spain, you can do in Ireland as well.

Hi there, great question! The hen party is all about celebrating the bride to be’s upcoming wedding, it should not be a stress trigger for anyone. Chances are if you are finding it to be too expensive there will be more of the hen party group feeling the same way.First of all, I would advise speaking to the rest of the girls who are organising it.
