Cocktails for Your Christmas Hen Party

Christmas is only just around the corner and we can't wait! The thought of opening all those lovely presents on Christmas morning, eating all the amazing food and of course sipping on some delicious cocktails! Christmas is the perfect time for a hen party. If you have friends that are living abroad this could be the only time this year that they are home. So to help you out in making it the best Christmas and best Hen Party ever here are some of our favourite Cocktails for Your Christmas Hen Party
Mulled Wine

You really can't go wrong with Mulled Wine for your hen party! It can easily be made up in batch making it ideal for the hen party! Plus it's cheap and cheerful but tastes amazing! Serves up to 6.
What you'll need;
350ml brandy
1 bottle red wine (a cheap red is perfect, no need to splash out!)
2 cinnamon sticks
1 sliced apple
1 tablespoon honey
A juiced lemon
2 large juiced oranges
How to make it;
Put all of your ingredients into a pot and allow them to heat through for about 20 minutes
Don't allow your ingredients to come to the boil
Leave sitting on the stove/hob to keep warm until serving
Hot Buttered Rum

Hot Buttered Rum was a drink that came up a lot when we were coming up with the best cocktails for your Christmas Hen Party. This is definitely one that will have you warmed up from the winter chill in no time! We can't take the praise for this one though, that was the work of culinary genius Jamie Oliver.
What you'll need;
2 parts black rum
1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar
small knob of butter
cinnamon stick and nutmeg to garnish
How to make it;
Melt the butter over a low heat with sugar (add 3 cloves if you wish)
Turn off the heat and add Black Rum and stir into the mixture well
Sieve the mixture and pour into a nice glass and top it off with water to taste
Garnish with the cinnamon and nutmeg

Coffee Cocktail

The festive season can really drain you so why not have a coffee cocktail. You'll keep the celebrations going while giving you that extra boost! One of our favourite coffee cocktails that we spotted was the Bailey's Flat White Martini...YUM!
What you'll need;
50ml of Bailey's Irish Cream Liquor
25ml of Vodka
25ml of Espresso
3 pieces of coffee bean to garnish
Ice (lots of it!)
How to make it;
Fill a shaker with ice and pour all of the Bailey's, espresso and vodka.
Shake until cold and strain into a Martini Glass
Finish it off by adding the 3 coffee beans on top to garnish
Hot Toddy/Hot Whiskey

Nothing says Christmas like a hot toddy! This is the perfect drink for you and all the girls before you head out for the hen party.
What you'll need;
1 measure of your favourite Irish Whiskey
2 teaspoons of brown or white sugar
6 cloves
2 slices of freshly cut lemon
8 ounces (possibly less) boiling water
How to make it;
Pour whiskey and sugar into a glass (make sure that it's heatproof ladies!)
Embed 3 cloves into each of the lemon slices
Add the boiling water and stir well until the sugar has dissolved

These cocktails for your Christmas hen party is a sure way to get your Christmas hen off to a flying start! All the ladies will definitely be impressed by your mixology skills!
