Top Tips to Consider When Planning the Hen Party

28 Nov 2019

Hen parties can be difficult to plan and it can lead to a lot of stress, but it doesn’t have to be that way. We’ve come up with a list of tips to consider when planning the hen party which will help you to avoid those unnecessary stressful moments and make the hen party planning go off without a hitch (mostly, anyway).

So let’s get straight into the list! Here are our Top Tips to Consider When Planning the Hen Party.

  1. Book the party with plenty of time left

Never leave things ‘til the last minute. It just adds unnecessary stress for everyone involved. Some hen parties get booked up to a year in advance so that the last minute stress can be completely avoided and it gives everyone enough time to book time off work, organise a babysitter and get the funds together.

  1. Don’t plan too much

You don’t want to plan too many activities and realise later that there isn’t enough time to do them all. Stick to one per day as a safe guide.

  1. Try something new

Some of the ladies in the group might have experienced the Paint a Nude in the past and others might have been to an Ann Summers party. Try to find something new that nobody has been to before.

  1. Include at least one activity

While you don’t want to book too many plans, we do recommend at least one activity because they help to get everyone acquainted with each other while bringing lots of fun.

  1. Book a location that’s easy to get to

Have you been somewhere that’s perfect for a hen party and know how to get there, or do you want to go somewhere completely new? Google is your friend! Do a little research to find the best places to get to and from because the last thing you want is to get stranded.

  1. Get to know the other hens

Getting to know the other ladies going on the hen party is the best way to ensure that you’re booking something that everyone will enjoy!

  1. Offer a Plan-B (for the weekend hen party)

For the ladies with kids and/or other responsibilities who want to go to the hen party but can’t go for a full weekend, offer them an option where they can go for one night and not miss any of the good stuff.

  1. Don’t go too expensive

Not everyone can afford a fancy weekend away. Try to stay considerate of everyone’s budgetary needs.

  1. Give plenty of notice

Most of the ladies will need plenty of time in advance of the hen party to guarantee time off work, getting the funds together and more.

  1. Give everyone a say

Get a WhatsApp group together and let everyone decide on the final say of what activities you choose, which location to go to, etc.

These tips will help you to avoid any of the unnecessary stress that comes along with planning a hen party, so take them all into account when planning.
